September Goal Recap #PoweredBySaturnSupplements @SaturnMuscle

Can you believe that September is over!?!?

Just when we think things are settling down, we are just boarding another roller coaster ha ha. Last month I announced that I was in fact going to compete in the NPC Utah Pro-Core Championships on October 10th. Well, I was apparently wrong. My hubs company requested that we make the move to Vegas at the beginning of October instead of the end, so HUGE change of plans. My goals this month have been wonky ha ha, but I did my best to work with the new schedule I have been given.

Goal One~ Buy The Rest Of What I need To Compete. This goal was only partially complete. I have been picking up stuff here and there. I also have my tan reserved. Obviously, not for the Utah show, but  new venue!!! It actually gives me a bit more time to fine tune my physique as well as have the money for everything I need. Everything happens for a reason 😉

Goal Two~ Get My Back Stage List Ready. To be completely honest, I haven’t had a chance to even look up last year’s list and start checking anything off. Everything we own is packed up and ready to be moved, including my competition stuff. Luckily, like I said, I have more time. 5 and a half weeks to be exact. So, this will go onto next month’s goal list.

Goal Three~ Posing, Posing, Posing. I have been a rockstar at this one! Hubs has been helping me perfect my form. I am using videos and photos to see where I need to improve. Definitely have made HUGE strides in my posing since last year!!! Posing is the most important part of prep. If you can not properly display your hard work, then you are spinning your wheels. When I cross the stage this year, I do not want the judges to question whether I am a newbie. I want to grab their attention and keep all eyes on me! I coming for the win!!!

Goal Four~ Work Harder. There is no doubt that I have been working harder. I weight train twice a day 4 days a week. Once a day 3 days a week and do cardio 7 days. I don’t take days off, unless my body tells me to, which in the past month has been one full day. I feel good, I feel strong, and I am seeing results. I am down to 14% bf and it has been lowering .5-1.5% each week. I feel really good about what pace I am on. Working harder and smarter. I am not even close to slowing down!!!

Goal Five~ Stop Comparing. I still struggle with this a little, but it has definitely gotten better. I switched my night reading to during my cardio. This has helped a ton. With my nose in a book, I stay off of social media. i post my motivational pics, then straight to my brain training 😉

Goal Six~ Get Ready To Learn. My certification plans have changed a bit as well. I will be starting sooner than later!!! I am so very excited about this!!! Fitness and helping people are my passion. Even though technically I can start taking clients now, I prefer to wait till after I get more educated and have my CPT. Just know that I will have some 12 week programs coming up as soon as I have it complete!!!

Goal Seven~ Making Sure Zoe Is Ready For School. We are still debating on starting her this year. I am going to check in with online school to see if we can get her registered late and get started, but if not. I am not greatly concerned. i started kindergarten when I was 6, so it won’t hurt her to start at that age either. Plus, she will be home schooled. We did get her a new bedroom set, so she has a desk in her room. We are trying to provide her with the best study area, where she can concentrate on her work and be free from all distractions. She and I are both excited about her new room!!!

Charleston Storage Loft Bed with Desk, White

Goal Eight~ Research Extra Curricular Activities For Zoe.  We have narrowed it down to Judo and Figure Skating. Those seem to be the ones she has the most interest in and both are near our apartment. She and i will also be doing a lot of volunteer work at church. We have already decided which one to join. I had no idea that Vegas has SO many different churches. There is a lot going on off the strip that many have no idea about!!! If you ever travel to Vegas, I highly suggest touring the entire city!!! It is much bigger than you think with so much more to offer than just the strip. Zoe definitely has several options…

Goal Nine~ Pack, Pack, And Pack Some More. I ended up having to have this done much sooner than i had anticipated. It is funny, Josh and I were sitting one Sunday morning drinking our coffees. I sighed and looked at all the empty boxes and said I guess I need to get some packing done. He said nah, we have plenty of time. Take the day off from packing. you are already training so much. The next morning, he calls and said “hey, you remember how I told you that you can take your time packing?” Me: “Um yeah…” Him: “Weeeellll, you need to get the house done by the end of the month. We are leaving the first week of October.” Me: “Why does this NOT surprise me ha ha ha ha” Pretty much story of my life. Needless to say, the house is packed and ready to go. All we have out is what we are using. Most of the deep cleaning is done. I’m just waiting on loading the truck at this point. We are ready to move!!! We leave in 5 days!!!!

Goal Ten~ Relax. I wish I could say that this goal was accomplished, but it really hasn’t been. I honestly haven’t had time to just relax. I know once we are in Vegas, i can get the house unpacked and set up the way we want. Should only take a day or two, then i can start to relax and just put my focus back on my next competition. Trust me, I am ready for a little R & R.

Get your October Goals ready, but it will be an epic month! Let’s kick ass and take some names!!!!

Sunday Devotional: Finding Our Purpose In Him #GloryInHisName

The past year has been a roller coaster for my family. We moved across country, which has been awesome! We felt like things were finally starting to line up for us. We began planning new ventures and opportunities. Everything came to a screeching halt. Financially we started to go backwards. Instead of getting caught back up we were going to get further behind. We left everything in God’s hands….

Here we are a few months later. We are moving again. In case you have missed it, to Las Vegas, Nevada. We are very excited about the opportunity. We have also had to change up our future business endeavors. The plan to get me certified and to start online training is the same. I have a desire to help others, not just in the fitness industry, but as a whole. I want to take my faith to another level. We are all called to do something. We took a hard look at ourselves and asked God what is it that he is calling us to do?

Las Vegas is known for being “Sin City” While on the strip, this is pretty prevalent, what many do not see are the many churches and Christian groups devoted to helping those in need. Many addictions, homeless, gangs, etc, all people in need of God’s love.

When we first discussed moving there, of course we had several questions. Mainly, is it going to be the right place for raising our family? We researched and found that Las Vegas is in fact a wonderful place to raise a family. There are many amazing things off the strip!!! We spent weeks looking for the right apartment in the right area, then we researched churches. Knowing my plan is to begin giving back, I wanted to find a church that we could work with as far as donations and volunteer work.  We found what seems to be a remarkable church called Calvary Chapel (actually not far from the apartment) and we are VERY excited about getting there and meeting new friends.

The opportunities God is laying in front of both of us, we feel are leading us to serve him more. We want to raise Zoe in his light, love, and grace. To do so, we need to show her how to live solely for him.

We are excited for new opportunities and for finding our purpose in him!!! I encourage you to ask God what he is calling you to do. What is your purpose? Take the time to reevaluate your life and how you are leading it. Ask yourself, how can you give back to God?

2 Corinthians 9:7 – Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, [so let him give]; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

Leviticus 27:30 – And all the tithe of the land, [whether] of the seed of the land, [or] of the fruit of the tree, [is] the LORD’S: [it is] holy unto the LORD.

Matthew 10:8 – Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

Mark 16:20 – And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with [them], and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

Mark 16:15 – And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

Hebrews 12:28 – Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:

Got A Sweet Tooth, But On Poverty Macros? @SaturnMuscle Has You Covered! #NewRecipe

There is certainly no denying that during contest prep, I get hungry!!! This prep has been much different than last year. mainly because my carbs are much lower than I am accustomed to. Most weeks I am very excited for my re-feed days, so I can refuel.

In between re-feeds I have to figure out ways to overcome my cravings without breaking the macro bank. Last year I came across a recipe for what many call POV pie. POV stands for poverty, since many eat this when they are on what’s considered poverty macros. Trust me when I say, I am DEFINITELY on poverty macros ha ha ha. The original recipe called for Greek yogurt and sugar-free gelatin mix. My problem with the recipe this year, is that most Greek yogurts are full of carbs. I try to keep my carbs for volume foods, so I can get fuller longer. POV pie is not what I would consider a volume food at all, especially with no fiber in the Greek yogurt. While craving a fruity sweet, it occurred to me that Nitrox-Pro is a super creamy protein. Sooooo what if I mixed Nitrox-Pro with Sugar-free gelatin mix?

You know I tried it….

First one small box of your choice sugar-free gelatin. A small box is typically 4 servings. Then mix in one serving of Nitrox-Pro Vanilla flavor.

Mix in one cup of hot tap water (not boiling water, as this will start to cook the protein) and mix till everything is dissolved. Cover and pop it into the fridge till it firms. Typically 2-4 hours.

The whole dish is 2g carbs, 0g fat, 44g protein, and all delicious!!!

It is awesome by itself. I make several dishes at a time, because I can eat small servings throughout the day to get me through my sweet cravings AND to meet my protein needs.

If you have carbs to spare, you can pour the mixture into those mini graham cracker crusts, then allow to firm. Or better yet, just break a graham cracker in half and pop a slice on there ha ha. Hands down, it is my go to treat that I can always fit in and is SOOOOOOO good!!!!

Nitrox-Pro is and has always been my go to protein of choice. The flavor is unmatched as are the results!!! Quality protein = quality muscle! Stop wishing for results, get them!

Sunday Devotional: He Died For Us! Share The Love, Just Smile #WhatALoveThatMustBe

We meet many amazing people in this life. We also meet some who irk us more than they probably should. I have been finding that when I come across this issue, it is more of a ME problem than a them problem. It is a self improvement phase that I am currently going through.

Learning to love everyone is much easier said than done. Lately, as I start to get irked by someone and thinking hateful things, I try to take a step back and analyse not just their behavior, but my own. I am starting to really think before I say or react to a situation. What might they be going through that may have caused that behavior? Why am I angry with a complete stranger over nothing? Everyone has their own battles daily. Sometimes I think I lash out before realizing that someone’s actions are because of the situation they are going through. Instead of showing anger, I should be expressing kindness.

I also realize that Zoe is watching me. The last thing I want for her is to start my bad habits. I always tell her that we should not judge anyone’s situation and we should always show love. How will she ever learn this, if I am not the prime example?

We have began making sure as we walk to the gym and back home, that every person we pass we both make eye contact and smile. It is a simple action that creates more than most realize. One smile can brighten even the darkest of days. Even if just for a moment, that person feels light, love, and appreciation. What a great feeling to be able to be someone’s sunshine during a storm!

The discussion of showing love to strangers went a bit further with Zoe. We talked about how it is rare for a complete stranger to willingly give their life for another. It does happen, but not often. Many will flee danger to protect themselves out of fear. Some, may just not care to give up their existence for someone they have never met. It really made me think. Of Jesus’ love for mankind. What kind of love he had in his heart to willingly die for each and everyone of us. Knowing that some will turn away from him, some will spit on his holy name, some be too scared to change their life and walk in his steps. This man said that’s okay, I love each and every one of you the same and will die to protect you. He gave his LIFE for us. What love that must have been!!!

I think most days I have spent forgetting what is important and that is just pure love to mankind. Will I always receive it back, no I am sure I will get just as much hatred as I do now ha ha, but I how I react is not only an example for Zoe to follow, but also how I serve my Lord.  Learning to have unconditional love is hard, but something I want to strive for everyday. Living a life of happiness and love is much, much, much easier than one of anger and hate. I encourage you to take the small step and just begin to smile at everyone you meet daily. This small change will have an amazing effect on your life!!!

Romans 5:8 – But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

1 Corinthians 13:7 – Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

John 3:16 – For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Luke 6:27 – But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you,

Ephesians 2:8 – For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God:

It’s A Good Day To Have A Good Day! #HappyMonday

Happy Monday!!!

Going back to what I talked about yesterday, I am now officially 8 weeks out….again ha ha. I think I might be more excited about competing at the Las Vegas Classic than I was the ProCore show here in Utah.

I honestly believe that my body needed the extra 4 weeks. I want to make sure I am bringing the best package possible. At this point, I am training twice a day. Doing my normal lifting routine in the morning, then at night doing negative training (I need to have a post that goes more into depth about it. Hopefully I can do that soon) I also do my cardio at night. I haven’t been taking rest days. Saturday and Sunday I only do the negative training and cardio. This prep has definitely been more difficult than last year’s. I think mainly, because I took longer to cut weight last year. There were never any dramatic drops in my macros and this year I went straight from bulking to cutting. Much harder to deal with ha ha ha ha. I started implementing refeeds every 9 days. To keep my leptin levels up as well as my sanity.

I just had my refeed this past Friday, so I feel fueled and ready for another strong week!!! I love Motivation Monday. I feel like it is a great way to get my mind right for the rest of the week! As well as help and inspire YOU to get motivated!!! As always, let’s kick the weeks off right with some Lady Swole Monday….

Hope you are ready to smash this week’s goals!!! I know I am 😉

Sunday Devotional: God Always Has A Plan;Even If It’s Not What I Expected

This past week has been crazy. So many up’s and down’s. We were finally in a position to determine that I was in fact going to get to compete. My husband worked overtime and made things happen, so financially we would be okay with the competition. Then, we found out his boss refused to let him off work. He manages retail stores and my competition is on Columbus Day weekend. Initially, we didn’t think it would a huge deal, since it is not known for being a huge weekend in their industry. Plus, they have more than enough people to cover. Still, it was a no go and we had to accept it. Not going to lie, I was devastated. I have been working so very hard to be stage ready. I was ready for the disappointment before, but that all went away when my husband told me we were good. We did what we always do when we are not sure what the next step is and sat down and prayed.

After we prayed, I felt better. Still bummed, but better. We decided to see if there were going to be any late year competitions in Vegas. Lo and behold there is! The Las Vegas Classic is on November 7th. Exactly one week after we move there. We priced it, researched it, and decided it is the competition for me! I am excited to compete there. It not only keeps my opportunity for getting Nationally Qualified this year on the table, but allows me more opportunity to bring the best physique I can. It has given me an additional 4 weeks to continue to cut and define what I need to. It is a blessing really. To be completely honest I was worried I was going to come in too full this year. That extra 4 weeks is perfect. Moral of the story, We may not always like the decisions God makes for us, but do not mistake that he always has a plan. His plan more than likely is to save us from ourselves. Keep the faith and things always work out in the end 😉

Just as every Sunday, I give glory to God. He always makes a way for me and my family. He has given me grace, love, and hope.

Romans 8:28 – And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [his] purpose.

Proverbs 16:9 – A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.

Psalms 27:14 – Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.

Proverbs 3:5 – Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

1 Corinthians 2:9 – But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

Athena Women's Line

I am going to go over the prefect starter stack!

Saturn’s Vita-Bites Fruit Chews are natural multivitamin supplement that are designed to provide women with a source of daily nutrients that’s as delicious as it is nutritious. Next up are the all important Aminos. These are important, because they will help you maintain muscle during fat loss. This is the way to go if you are looking to have the toned look. Thermogenics, to me are important during a cut or weight loss program. Sunday Devotional: Reflecting On What I Once Was & How I Became Truly Saved

I woke up feeling blessed. Even though we have so much going on in life, I try to take time out in the morning to reflect. I reflect on where I was in life to where I am now. I reflect on what I once thought I wanted and what I have been blessed with.

The old me would have probably woke up today hung over, wondering what exactly happened the night before. Regretting the things I did remember and hating myself. This was the life I was used to. This was my reality. I spent many years in a drunken state. Heart full of anger, hate, lust, and envy. Doing things, that I now look back on in disgust. I can remember praying for knowledge and strength. I wanted so bad to change, but was so scared to take the necessary steps. I was afraid of losing the people in my life. I was afraid of what everyone would think. I was afraid to start over. I was afraid to be sober. And to be completely honest I was afraid I wasn’t worthy to be a child of God.

I was right about most of the things. Many of my past friends have drifted away. Some could say it was because I moved, but it isn’t. I moved back for a stint and they all treated me different. I was different, no no no I AM different. I am no longer the party girl they remember. Some did draw their own opinions of me and my actions on changing my life. To some, I did a horrible horrible thing by trying to better myself. No one ever stopped to ask me why I wanted to change, why I was so unhappy, or if they could even help. Leaving everything and everyone I knew to start over was very scary, but the best thing I ever did for me! I finally sat myself down full face to face and had a Come to Jesus meeting. I had never sat down and really talked to God, until I decided enough was enough. I had prayed, but it was always a pretty generic prayer. There were a few times I attempted to reach out to God, I talked, but never listened to what he was telling me. I didn’t understand how to open my heart. Most of my prayers were generally asking for forgiveness and sending love and light to everyone in my life. It was never a REAL heart to heart with the Lord. The day I left I drove to my parents house. I sat in the driveway bawling my eyes out and I talked to God. I talked to him for probably an hour or so. Most importantly I finally listened. I knew that things were going to be hard, but that I had taken the first step. I had given him complete control over me and my life. With no more regard for what others thought about it. I finally felt that things were gonna be okay… God still loves me despite my past.

I now know that even as a sinner and with all of the disgusting and despicable things I have done in my past, I AM a child of GOD. He loves me regardless of the bad decisions I have made. I may have loved and have lost friends, but I have gained life! I do not regret anything. I still love everyone from my past the same now as I did then and I pray that someday they will all make the changes in their own lives and find God as I did. I did change and I have moved on. There are so many things in this life that God has planned for us. Sometimes we just need to sit down and really hear what he is trying to tell us. Just allow him to take the reigns and lead you to where you are suppose to be. Whenever we question what is going on in our lives, Josh and I sit down and pray. We ask for guidance, wisdom, and patience. Most importantly we listen. We have faith that God will show us the way and he always does.

Matthew 21:22 – And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

Proverbs 3:5 – Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

Hello September! Surprise Me!!! #PoweredBySaturnSupplements @SaturnMuscle

I am SO excited to start a new month!!!!

I am officially competing in the Pro-Core Championships here in Salt Lake City!!!!

I was convinced that I was cutting weight just to see my abs again ha ha, but my husband busted his ass. He has made it possible for me to compete this year in Open and in Masters!!! I am overwhelmed by his faith in me and his support. I’m a lucky lady 😉

With all that said, let’s get to these September goals….

Goal One~ Buy The Last Of What Is Needed To Compete. Money is still tight, since we are moving at the end of October, so I will be wearing the same suit as last year. The suit I made will be packed away for next year. I do still need to purchase all the big stuff though. NPC card, entry fees, and tanning, then a few small items like foundation, nail polish, lashes, glue, and flip flops. I think I am good on everything else.

Goal Two~ Get My Backstage List Ready. Just to make sure I have everything I need, I need to reprint the list I made last year and start checking things off. CLICK HERE to check that out.

Goal Three~Posing, Posing, Posing. I have been doing posing practice twice a day. making sure my strut is right and that i am displaying my hard work to the best of my ability. I don’t have a posing coach and obviously cannot afford one, so what I do is watch YouTube videos and see how the pros do it. I record myself then make the necessary changes. Last year my posing was all over the place. I learned from that experience and I will not make the same mistake twice 😉 And trust me, it looks WAY easier than it actually is!!!

Goal Four~ Work Harder. This is has been my motto for the past 8 weeks. My mind starts to tell me that I am done. It has been my biggest obstacle. I just keep telling myself NO I am not done yet. Work Harder, Work Smarter, and NEVER Give Up!!!

Goal Five~ Stop Comparing. Still one of my biggest struggles. Especially during cardio ha ha ha. I have a lot of time on my hands when doing cardio. I spend some of it keeping my mind right with motivational Instagram posts and the part looking up my competition. I start comparing where I am and where they are. I start trying to figure out what their strengths and weaknesses are compared to mine. people say it’s me vs me. Well, I already know I beat the me from last year. I want to beat the other women on stage with me this year! It’s hard not to compare, but it also can have negative effects as well. I get down sometimes, or stress more than I need to about where I stand compared to them. This is the part I need to get better about. A negative mind will get me no where!!!

Goal Six~ Get Ready To Learn. Because i can never have too much on my plate ha ha I am also going to get enrolled for my NASM CPT. This has been a dream of mine for quite a while. I held off, because I wanted to learn as much as possible before I started taking on clients. I will also be studying nutrition. This is my passion and I want to make a career out of it and help others.

Goal Seven~ Making Sure Zoe Is Ready For School. Josh and I have still been going back and forth on whether she will start this year. Either way, it wouldn’t be till after we move and it will be home schooling. I have found several public and private schools online that are accredited and that work with her and me to make sure she is getting the best education possible. She is already accustomed to lesson time, so I do not think there will be a huge adjustment there. I just want to make sure she is completely ready and that I am completely ready as well. I also want to find a home school group, so she has the opportunity to meet other kids outside the gym setting, so lots to look into.

Goal Eight~ Research Extracurricular Classes For Zoe. We have been looking into several types of extra curricular activities for Zoe. She loves dancing, but neither Josh nor I approve of some of the outfits or dance moves we have seen some of our friend’s children involved in. So in trying to keep with her interests, we have been looking into gymnastics and Judo classes. Mainly because both are super active and very disciplined. She has always been a fan of tumbling and has had a recent interest in martial arts, so I think either will work great! Her daddy seems to be leaning more towards Judo than Gymnastics ha ha and I am okay with that.

Goal Nine~ Pack, Pack, And Pack Some More. I am the self proclaimed queen of packing ha ha ha. With moving every year I have gotten quite proficient at packing up the house in a fast and organized manner. This move is no different. We have rid ourselves of even more material things that we no longer use, so packing up is pretty easy really. One tip I have is to itemize each box. Don’t just label what room it goes to, actually list on the box what you put inside. If by chance you need something, there is no frantic opening of every box, plus you can figure out the urgency of what to unpack first. It is always exciting when we get ready to move!!! We do love our adventures!!!

Goal Ten~Last But Certainly Not Least RELAX. I have been stressing myself out about everything we have going on, that I have forgotten to enjoy what is around me! Luckily God is always paying attention and he put the brakes on for me ha ha. I spent Tuesday September 1st sick. My body basically shut itself down. I was mentally and physically just done. After advice from a dear friend *octopus* and my loving husband. I decided to take a rest day. I slept and felt much better. Sometimes we have to hit the wall, so to speak, so we can take the time to look at the big picture. Relaxing NEEDS to be part of the program!!!

Hope you all have some strong goals this month!!!! Let’s kick ass and take names 😉

Wait…August Is Over!?!?!? That’s a Wrap! #MonthlyRecap @SaturnMuscle

I had thought with the excitement of the impending move and competition, that time would creep by. Um…where did August go!?!?!?!?

I am seriously boggled by August being over. I have no clue where the time went and to be honest, I have no idea how I did on my goals. Guess we will soon find out….

Goal 1. Embrace New Opportunities. This goal can be checked off the list. With all the issues we have dealt with, we have been blessed with more opportunities. It is amazing how with faith, hope, and prayer, things can completely turn around!!! Amazing blessings that have opened new doors for my family!

Goal 2. Hold Strong. Competing was still up in the air till last week. I have been pushing myself more than ever, but behind the scenes, so has my husband. He has put in the time and effort to make sure that my work wasn’t in vain. I will be crossing the NPC Utah stage this year! It may be in last year’s suit and without some of the frills that most girls take advantage of pre-contest, but it will be done! I am excited to say the least. and very humbled by my husband’s love, drive, and will to get me there. It is an amazing feeling to have someone believe in you and support you the way he does me! I have and will continue to Hold Strong. I want to win this year! I want my husband to see what he worked his ass off for!!!

Goal 3. Be A Better Blogger. I have been wishy washy with this goal. I have added a day each week, but am still lacking in posts. This blog was the foot in the door, so to speak, for so many of my past opportunities, as well as my pending future ones . I am and will stay faithful to you, my readers. This blog will not go to the wayside. I am doing my best to continue the growth of this website as well as the sharing of positivity and knowledge xoxo

Goal 4. Continue To Optimize My Training. This is a continuous goal. My training has been changing every couple of weeks. Tweaks here and there for muscle maintenance as well as fat loss. Trying to find a happy balance at 6 weeks out, is difficult to say the least. My body is exhausted and my mind is as well, but I am continuously educating myself in what is going to work best for me.

Goal 5. Posing Perfection. Everyday I am working and tweaking my posing. I want to make sure I am displaying my hard work as perfect as I possibly can. This is something that probably has the biggest learning curve. Taking photos and videos constantly and trying to maneuver my poses in between. Not to mention training my body to hold the poses longer. Last year, that was a weakness. It never occurred to me how long we would have to hold a pose, so the judges could compare us. I want to make sure my posing endurance is up and ready this year!

Goal 6. Keeping Tabs On My Nutrition. This year, I started with more to lose in a shorter time frame. Figuring out my diet this year has been a roller coaster. I am learning what is needed in order to dial it all in and bring the best package I can. it is a constant learning curve, but I AM learning!!! I have made huge strides in my cut and have 6 more weeks to continue to do my best!

Goal 7. Continue To Set A Strong Example For Zoe. With as rough as things were when I set these goals, I definitely feel that we have put our best foot forward with Zoe. We never hid that we had issues. We were honest and straight forward with her about everything. We explained that even though we were in a financial rut, things would turn around. It was a way for her to see how strong our faith in God is as well as how to glorify him in the storm. We taught her that when you have no idea how to fix a situation, you take the time to educate yourself. We are almost out of the storm and ready to step into a new light. With learning new things, we have allowed for new opportunities to find us. We are excited to end August and start a new month!

Even though August went by in the blink of an eye, we did exactly what we said we would. We recovered and are back on our feet. We are ready to take on the new opportunities and continue to build our empire. Starting from the ground up is never easy, but it is doable! We are not strangers to hard work. We are educating ourselves more and more everyday to continue to build and reach our ultimate goals!!!

I hope you all had a successful August and are planning out your September!!!
