New Month, New Year, New Goals! #PoweredBySaturnSupplements @SaturnMuscle
Happy New Year!!!
I am excited to welcome 2016! Today is the first day of a new chapter.
I do not do the whole New Year’s Resolutions thing. My husband and I set our long term goals throughout the year, then month by month set short term goals to help us achieve them. January is no different. We are excited this month! Josh and I have set our eyes on a new long term goal. We know there will be a lot of blood, sweat, and tears that will go into it, but we are excited for another new journey!!! Each month we will be dedicated to setting short term goals to help us reach our dreams. With all that being said Happy January….
Goal One ~ Complete My NASM Certification. I am nearing the end of this course. It is almost time for me to take the big test. I have learn WAY more than I had expected and am so excited to start utilizing my knowledge to help others!!! I am just getting started with my education. There will be many certifications after this one that I will be shooting to achieve, but I am excited to say that I am almost officially a CPT!
Goal Two ~ Updating My Website. Another exciting goal!!! With becoming a CPT, I will begin to take online clients. With that being said, I will need an updated website. This web page will be much more advanced and easier to navigate. My blogging will stay the same, just a new format that is easier to read and will have much more info!
Goal Three ~ Business Building. I have been working hard to build my name and brand over the past couple of years. This has all been for one sole purpose, which is to build my personal training business. Business planning and building will continue. Being able to start implementing our business plan is scary and exciting all at the same time, but I welcome the challenge!
Goal Four ~ Planning For Showtime. I decided that this year I would like to try to do two shows. I am narrowing it down to which two I would like to do and what time of year I would like to do it. This is an important decision, because it will dictate my training. I would still like to put on more size, so I am leaning towards the end of the year, but we shall see.
Goal Five ~ Continue Reverse Dieting. It was about this time post show last year, that I decided to just go straight into a bulk phase. I did put on more muscle, but I also gain a ton of fat. This made for a difficult and aggressive contest prep, in which I did sacrifice muscle to lean out and I still wasn’t lean enough. As with my first year, my second year was all about learning as I am sure my third year will be as well ha ha. I want to keep my fat gain to a minimum. I will continue to raise calories slowly and if I begin to gain more than I need to, I will do a mini cut, then reverse diet again. The goal this off season is to attain lean muscle gains. So far I am right on track and doing well.
Goal Six ~ Start Planning Zoe’s Birthday. You might be thinking…wait isn’t Zoe’s birthday in the summer? It is ha ha. We are about 5 months out from her 6th birthday. Josh has a HUGE surprise for her and it will take a ton of planning. Her cake helps with the surprise and since I do such a big cake for her every year, it takes quite a bit of planning too! Call us crazy, but we love to spoil her ha ha.
It is like I say every month, sit down and think about what you REALLY want to accomplish long term. Think about all of the small steps it will take to accomplish that goal. Write out what you need to do each month and do your best to check each step off the list. When you try to take your main goal head on, it can be overwhelming. This is typically why many quit. break it down into simple steps that are more easily achieved. Yes, it does take longer. In the long run you will thank yourself, because you will not only achieve your goal, but you take the time to learn what is necessary to obtain and keep what you are working for! Make today the start of a new chapter in your book. Make today the day that you change your life!!!
I wish you all a very Happy New Year!!!
