Learn the benefits of Kombucha and enter to win your own bottle of Kombucha Extract!!!

So I have recently been educating myself on Kombucha. I read an article online about it and it interested me enough to dig a little deeper. You may be asking yourself “What is Kombucha?”  Kombucha is a living tea that is fermented from sugar and the Kombucha culture, which looks mushroom like, but is a colony of bacteria and yeast.  The fermenting process can take anywhere from 4-12 days depending on several circumstances i.e. amount being brewed, temperature, taste preference, etc.

I think the pictures of the brewing process make the drink a little intimidating for those less adventurous types lol. The health benefits was what drew me in! From what I understand, the tea itself isn’t bad at all!!! Although no one is quite sure of it’s origin, we do know it was consumed in ancient China during the Tsin Dynasty around 221 BC . They called the drink  “The Tea of Immortality”

With being dubbed “The Tea of Immortality”, how could someone not want to learn more? 😉 Here are some health benefits I have learned about Kombucha:

  • It detoxifies your body. It is rich in many of the enzymes and bacterial acids your body produces and/or uses to detox your system, thus reducing your pancreatic load and easing the burden on your liver.
  • It contains  glucosamines, which prevent and aid in treating forms of arthritis.
  • It is a probiotic beverage, so it aids in digestion.
  • It is noted to also reduce the symptoms of fibromyalgia, depression, and anxiety.
  • Super rich in antioxidants, so it boosts not only your immune system, but your energy. I’m a very busy Mama, so I don’t have time to be sick or tired so this benefit is HUGE for me!!!!
  • I have even read claims of clearer skin, aiding in heartburn relief, and headache relief!

As I said before, the health benefits had me sold! My biggest concern was sugar. As you know with bodybuilding, I have been strict about my sugar intake. I strive to never go over 35 grams a day. I contacted Dave at GetKombucha.com I really wanted to try it! He was super awesome and sent me a bottle of Kombucha Extract. Guess what??? It’s SUGAR FREE!!!! Yeah buddy!!! 😉

It is clear, smells a little like vinegar, and is tasteless. The instructions say to place 5-15 drops under your tongue or in your favorite beverage and to do this 1-3 times daily. I have been adding it to my water and I do not taste a difference at all!

I have just started using the Kombucha Concentrate extract. I have read that drinking regularly, I should start to really reap the health benefits. I can already feel a little more pep in my step. 😉 The factors that mean the most to me are the digestive benefits as well as the skin clearing claim, and the immune system boost!  The rest are just bonuses!!!!

Have any of you tried Kombucha Concentrate? Would you be interested in trying it??? Dave over at GetKombucha.com has been generous enough to give not 1 but 2 bottles away, so 2 of my lucky readers will be able to try it too!!! Click here to go to my Giveaways page and enter to win your own bottle!!!

Have an awesome day and Good Luck!!!! 🙂

Then, Josh surprised me with all the workout gear that I thought had gone back! He reworked the budget so I could keep it all. If you didn’t know, my husband lives to spoil my daughter and I! I just adore that man!!!

I decide to change our running route this morning. It added up to be just under 2 miles. My left leg has shin splints horribly bad. I have been icing it down, doing exercises, and I have been focused on my form when running. It has all helped greatly! Josh got me new running shoes and some compression socks, so I am hoping those help even more!!! Zoe wanted to run today, so I let her out of the stroller as we got closer to the house and that child did not want to stop running!!! LOL

We had a great run! I felt like I did awesome!!! After talking with a personal trainer friend, I decided to NOT worry about my time right now. I have been pushing myself too hard. I need to just concentrate on getting a good quality run in. Today, I did just that!

Hot sweaty mess!!!

I botched some of my September goals. 🙁  I am down 2 lbs with 5 lbs left to go for goal #1 I still have a little time, so I am optimistic about that one! The no sugar other than natural sugar did not happen. I have had 2 energy drinks and some caramel popcorn in the past week. I CHEATED!!!! I am human, and I am not going to beat myself up about it. Just brush it off and move forward!!! I have been doing great with my running! I missed last Friday, but made up for it this morning. My weight training I have NOT been slacking on. I am pretty routine when it comes to that! 😉 I am saving the fitting into old jeans for the end of the month. I am still hopeful on that one too lol. Zoe still needs to learn 17 more signs this month, which I am a little behind, but again I have 2 weeks to get her where I want her. We still have not had a date night . It has been to hard to schedule with everything that happened with my dad then Josh’s car breaking down. Still hopeful for that one too lol. I added plank a day and handstand a day to try to improve my times on both and I have been slacking on them as well, but I am back in my groove today!!!

Plank time today was 2:43 not horrible, but I want to do 3 mins a day regularly.

Zoe does her workout with mama lol My handstand was just 52 seconds, so I need to work on that too I get woozy and just can’t stay up.

I still have my weight training to do today. (Shoulder day) 🙂 I love shoulder day! Granted, I love all my weight training lol.

If I can squeeze it in,  I am going to try to get some healthy pumpkin muffins made!!!!! It is an experimental recipe, so if it turns out good, I will post it tomorrow!

Are you as excited as I am for the awesome giveaway next month???  How are you doing on your September goals??? Were you like me and have too many cheats? Do you beat yourself up about them or just move on???
Also check out the affiliate of the month for September! They have awesome and CLEAN protein bars!!! We LOVE them!!!! They are a great meal replacement when you are on the run!!!
Try Quest Protein Bars!

Thank you for reading and have a fabulous and blessed day!!!!!

The Homepage giveaway has begun!!!!!!

I FINALLY got my Homepage up and running!!!!! It literally took hours basically all day and most of last night. I am not technically savvy in the least and had the hardest time getting any tech support from any website I was working with, this one included! I was very frustrated yesterday!!! Click here to get your self entered to win!

I woke up early to get my run out of the way before i sat down to start working on the site. It was a great mile despite not feeling well and it being muggy and wet out. The hurricane Isaac weather made it’s way to the Midwest, so it was dark gloomy and wet. Great, because Josh and Zoe, who also were not feeling well, slept in. It was nice to pound the pavement without having to push a large clunky stroller and a 30lb toddler.I improved my time by 3 mins. that made the day start off pretty good.

I was excited to get to work on my website, but I had no idea how hard and confusing everything would be. I am happy to say, not only did I get it done, but I did it by myself! It may not be perfect, but it is mine!!!!!  🙂

I have the Giveaway link up!!!!  Go to my Homepage then click on My Blog to enter. In case you missed it, I am giving away some healthy snacks for you to try!!!!

The “Welcome to my Homepage and Thank you for reading” Giveaway! It will start on September 1st (Today), you will be able to enter 3 times a day till September 4th. On September 5th i will do a random drawing and One lucky reader can win a prize pack with 2 Quest Nutrition Bars from my affiliate Quest Nutrition (Peanut Butter Supreme and Strawberry Cheesecake), 3 of the new Dentyne Ice Split2Fit packs (Peppermint, Spearmint, and Arctic Chill) I am a BzzAgent and I want a lucky reader to try those as well, And last, but not least, a 10G bag of Brother’s All Natural Fuji Apple Crisps!
